"I hear a hadith being said by someone and I would give it my full attention and concentration as if I'm hearing it for the first time, when in fact, I have heard that hadith before that person's mother gave birth to him"

Assalamu alaykum wa Rahmatullah,
The above saying that it is to be repeated 7 times morning and evening is a weak hadith. Here is a link about this:
https://islam.stackexchange.com/questions/36003/are-these-ahadith-regarding-reciting-allah-is-sufficient-for-me-seven-times
Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
Jazakillah khair for your concern, but please note the following:
– The link sent doesn’t conclude the hadith to be weak, just the addition of “whether he was truthful in saying it or not”. This addition was not provided on my page.
– Scholars have considered that addition to be weak, but the hadith without it to be acceptable (this was also the conclusion from the link provided)
– The hadith is reported in sunan abu dawud without this addition, and this is the reference that was provided here
– Sites such as stackexchange shouldn’t really be used for seeking knowledge as anyone can answer on it and could make up information and claim it to be referenced in books of hadith, but will only be caught out if the person actually goes back to check the references, which is rare. It is best that a person takes knowledge first-hand from local scholars, and if unavailable, or they need more, they take it through direct online contact with trustworthy scholars, and only as a last resort, take it from trustworthy websites, but never from general websites that anyone can post on.
This does rule me out here, but I’m only sending this as an answer to your question.
